Support for Your Child's Development: Hawai'i Child Find

If you have concerns about your child’s development, you are not alone. The Hawai'i State Department of Education's Child Find program helps connect families with specialists who can offer support and guidance.

Signs to Look For If your child, from birth through age 21, is having difficulty in any of the following areas, assistance is available:

  • Speaking

  • Hearing

  • Seeing

  • Walking

  • Using their hands

  • Making friends

  • Learning

Who to Contact Please reach out to the specific resource below based on the age of the individual:

  • For Children Under Age 3: Call the Early Intervention Referral Line at 808-594-0066 or 1-800-235-5477.

  • For Children Ages 3 through 21: Call the Hawai'i State Department of Education at 1-800-297-2070.

  • For Individuals 22 Years of Age or Older:

    • Contact the Hawai'i State Department of Human Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Services for the Blind Division at 808-586-5269.

      OR contact the Hawai'i State Department of Health Case Management and Information Services Branch at 808-733-9172.
