Visitor/Volunteer Check-In System

To ensure a safe and secure learning environment for students and staff, Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School is launching a pilot of a new visitor and volunteer management system. The new program is scheduled to begin on October 13, 2025. The school will implement the Raptor Visitor and Volunteer Management System in the main office to better monitor campus visitors and create a more consistent and secure check-in process.

Individuals interested in volunteering at the school must follow these steps:
Frequent visitors can speed up the check-in process by downloading the Raptor Safe App, available on Apple and Google Play. The app allows users to verify their identity before arriving and use a QR code to check in at the office. New Visitor Check-in Process
When visiting the campus, please be prepared for the following updated procedures:
- ID Scan: All visitors, volunteers, and contractors must present a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or state ID card.
- Screening: The Raptor system will scan the ID and check it against the national Sex Offender Registry and the state Harm to Student Registry. This screening is a confidential and discreet process.
- Visitor Badge: Once approved, visitors will be given a temporary visitor badge that includes their name and photo. This badge must be worn for the entire duration of the visit.
Individuals interested in volunteering at the school must follow these steps:
- Application: An online application must be completed. Prospective volunteers can apply here:
- Background Check: All applicants must pass a background check before they can participate in school activities.
- Approval: If cleared, individuals will be able to sign up for volunteer opportunities. If an application is denied, the individual will not be permitted to volunteer at any Department of Education school campus.
