Aloha Parents/Guardians,
Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School will be conducting our mandatory Safety Drills and Whole School Evacuation on Monday, November 17th. We will be traveling to Puhi Park field located across Kauai Community College. This is a critical exercise to ensure the safety and preparedness of all students and staff in the event of an emergency.
Since students will be walking a significant distance to the evacuation site, we ask for your assistance in preparing your child. Please ensure they are equipped with the following items to remain comfortable throughout the drill:
- Comfortable shoes
- A flask or water bottle
- A hat for sun protection
- An umbrella or light rain gear
- An extra change of clothes (in case of rain)
Please note that transportation will be provided for any students who require assistance due to injury, medical condition, or difficulty walking to the designated site.
