First Week Reminders/ Information
Monday, August 4: No School for Students This is a Waiver Day for staff. It's a great opportunity to visit the office and take care of any outstanding fees, lunch payments, or bus applications. Please bring exact change.
Tuesday, August 5: 7th & 8th Grade Students Only
- Arrival: Parents are welcome from 7:50 AM to 10:45 AM. If you arrive before 7:50 AM, both parents and students should head to the Playcourt or Cafeteria.
- Parking: Use the Back Field parking lot; enter from Nuhou St. by the Cafeteria (just follow the signs!).
- Dismissal: Bus or pick-up is at 2:00 PM.
Wednesday, August 6: 6th Grade Students Only
- Arrival: Parents are invited from 7:50 AM to 12:25 PM. Please note, lunch will not be provided for parents. If you arrive before 7:50 AM, both parents and students should go to the Playcourt or Cafeteria.
- Parking: Use the Back Field parking lot; enter from Nuhou St. by the Cafeteria (just follow the signs!).
- Dismissal: Bus or pick-up is at 2:00 PM.
Thursday, August 7: All Students Report (Grades 6, 7, & 8)
- This is a "C" schedule day.
- Early Release: Dismissal is at 1:15 PM.
Friday, August 8: All Students Report (Grades 6, 7, & 8)
- This is an "A-Day" schedule.
- Dismissal: Student pick-up is at 2:00 PM.
Car Pick-Up Information (CKMS School Year 2025-26)
- 7th & 8th Grade Students: Pick up in front of the Admin/Building I parking lot.
- 6th Grade Students: Pick up at the back parking lot, behind the cafeteria.
- Siblings: If you have multiple children, all students can be picked up together in the 7th/8th grade pick-up area.
Office Reminders
Bus: Students need a bus pass to ride the bus.
On the first day of school, students can ride the bus to school without a pass. For those who have paid, bus passes will be distributed during Advisory. However, students will not be allowed to ride the bus home without a bus pass.
The deadline for Quarter One bus payments is August 15. You can pay online or at the school office.
Free/Reduced Lunch Information
This year, students approved for Reduced-Price Meals will get one free breakfast and one free lunch daily! Keep in mind that à la carte items and bottled water still need to be paid for, and bus fees remain unchanged.
If your child received Free or Reduced-Price Lunch last year, please submit your new application by September 16th. If we don't receive your application by then, your child's meal status will automatically change to full price.
