School Year 2025-26 Bus Updates

We've got important updates about bus services for the upcoming 2025-26 school year! Please read carefully, as there are new procedures and opportunities.

Quarterly Bus Applications: A New Requirement

For the 2025-26 school year, all bus applications—for both paid and free-qualified student riders—must be submitted on a quarterly basis. This means you'll need to submit a new application every quarter during the specified windows.

You can find the application online at https://go.hidoe.us/SchoolBusService or pick up a paper application at the CKMS office. Due to limited seating, we highly recommend you register as soon as possible within these application periods:

• Quarter 1: July 14 - August 15

• Quarter 2: September 22 - October 17

• Quarter 3: December 12 - January 9, 2026

• Quarter 4: March 2 - March 27

Introducing the EXPRESS PROGRAM for Middle Schoolers!

Great news for middle school students! For the first time, middle schoolers attending their home school who live at least 1.5 miles from the nearest public access point to school may now qualify for a no-cost county bus pass through the Department’s new EXPRESS PROGRAM.
