Welcome Back to Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School!
Aloha Students, Parents, and Guardians,
Welcome back to a new school year! We hope you had a restful and rejuvenating summer. Here at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School, learning did not take a break—over the summer, students engaged in exciting opportunities like Math Camp, the 7th/8th Grade Enrichment Exploration, incoming 6th grade Transition Course, and the English Language Learner Extension Program. These learning experiences reflect our school vision: “E Holomua i Ka Na'auao” when translated means “to progress through knowledge.”
At CKMS, we hold high expectations for all students, believing that every individual can achieve their full potential academically and personally when challenged and supported. Our theme: HI Expectations reflects this belief while also embracing and honoring Hawaiian values and cultural practices. We are eager to make this a year of growth, achievement, and aloha.
