Aloha CKMS Parents,
Thank you for your patience during the school evacuation today. This was a real evacuation for a threat occurring in the near vicinity of the school but not actually on campus, and the students and staff acted accordingly. The students safely evacuated to the Safeway field and remained there until the Kauai Police Department advised that it was safe to return. As with any situation, we always want to improve how we respond. We will be making any necessary adjustments to emergency procedures and sharing those adjustments with our staff and then training students thereafter.
