Congratulations to all of our spelling bee participants this year for a job well done! 33 students courageously took part in our annual spelling bee and two students made it through 13 rounds to get to the end. Congratulations go out to 6th grader Haley Arakaki for taking 1st place, and 7th grader Matthew Rivera for being our runner up. Both students will represent CKMS in the Kauai District Spelling Bee coming up later this year. We also want to thank teachers Beth Britton and Ashten Metcalfe for tutoring our students during recess and lunch over the past several weeks and for organizing our bee!
